Identity system and site design for the Museum of Copulatory Organs.

Created by artist Maria Fernanda Cardoso, the Museum of Copulatory Organs took place during the Biennale of Sydney 2012 on Cockatoo Island.

Working with the artist, we developed an identity system for the exhibition, including type treatments and an online presence. Taking direct inspiration from exhibits developed by Maria Fernanda, the logotype utilised the typographical stamps generated to accompany the ‘specimens’ on display. This scientific approach also influenced the online archive of the exhibition, creating a stark and precise online presence to showcase this magnificent collection of copulatory organs.
