See, Hear, Speak

Inspired by the maxim, ‘See no evil, Hear no evil, Speak no evil’, the audience is confronted with the notion of witnessing and experiencing acts of ‘evil’, rather than turning themselves away from such acts. Using live video tracking and sound reactive elements, See, Hear, Speak enables the audience to engage with three characters, ‘See’, ‘Hear’ and ‘Speak’.

The installation was created at the Royal College of Art in 2009. A lot of the development time was spent on working with and manipulating the use of live video tracking; finding a way to have animations engage with and react to the audience. I’d like to push this installation further, particular in terms of the actual content being delivered to the audience … to be continued.
